Ann Miklich, Director

If you have completed the fourth or fifth grade and have completed one or two years of string instruction (either in a school setting or private study) you may apply to participate in our newest summer program!

Summer Strings is a unique, culturally enriching summer program for children in an air-conditioned location right in the heart of Boston. Summer Strings offers individual attention, group instruction, and multiple opportunities for developing skills and self-expression. Children who are entering the fifth and sixth grades in fall 2009 will enjoy an exciting summertime experience while they study the violin, viola or cello under the tutelage of CMCB's strings faculty. Activities include:

  • Daily lessons in groups of 4
  • Daily participation in a large ensemble or in a sectional rehearsal
  • Daily theory classes with games and computer access
  • Lessons in ear-training and rhythmic exercises
  • Fun & educational field trips
  • ...and more!

Financial assistance is available for qualifying families.
